Placerville Brewing Company's Beer

Placerville Brewing Company's beers are brewed with classic California Ale yeasts and in that style. We are a bit different than the Big Box "Microbreweries." We offer a wide variety of beers that look, taste, and feel different. Intimate knowledge of the yeasts we use and the experience of brewing hundreds of batches of beer on our 15 barrel brewing equipment have allowed us to evolve our beer into some of the most distinctive, most drinkable beers you'll ever taste. Placerville Brewing Company produces category classics such as the lighter bodied, lightly hopped Golden Ale, a medium bodied, medium hopped Pale Ale, it's close cousin Cascade Ale which uses only the aromatic Cascade hop variety, our signature and most popular Strong Blonde Ale (adored by men and women!), and for desert, a chocolaty Stout or Vanilla Stout. We also offer delicious fruit flavored, seasonal and specialty beers including a tangerine and boysenberry, copper ale, barley wine, brown ale, and IPA, and fun mixed favorites such as the "Dirty Blonde"-3/4 Strong Blonde, ¼ Stout


GOLDEN ALE

This gold colored light bodied ale is refreshing and crisp. Made primarily from two row barley, small amoutns of white wheat and yellow corn are added to round out the color and mouth feel. Imported Czech Saaz hops define the refresthing mellow flavor.

TANGERINE ALE

PALE ALE

The style that led the National Microbrew Renaissance, Placerville Brewing Company's medium bodied Pale Ale is brewed with fine tuned blend of two row and crystal malts, and uses a combination of Chinook and Cascade hops. The balance of just the right maltness, cascade aromatics and chinook bitters give this ale a flavor and aroma that will make other California pales “green ” with envy.

STRONG BLONDE

Universally liked by men and women, this straw colored bombshell is our most popular beer. It is an all malt beer, generously hopped with Columbus (bitter), Hallertau (mellow and aromatic), and Tettenang (mellow and aromatic) hops. Placerville Brewing Company's Strong Blond is lightly sweet, decidedly strong, not at all bitter and a heck of a lot of fun!

Who needs desert when you can have a pint of Placerville Brewing Company's creamy, chocolaty Stout? Two-row constitutes the bulk of the blend, but is surrounded on all fronts with the flavors of Carapils, chocolate and black patent malts.
